Singita Pamushana Lodge
Location: Zimbabwe, Africa
Client: Malilangwe Conservation Trust
Scope: Overall Site Planning, Landscape Architectural Detailed Design and Construction Administration
The camp consists of six visitor units in the local African vernacular with a staff village and administrative components are sited nearby. Situated atop one of the area’s highest points, the site overlooks a lake frequented by many of the indigenous animal species. All buildings are tucked below the existing tree canopy to minimize visual impact from the outside. In addition, the location of the units takes advantage of prevailing breezes while minimizing the amount of solar load.
